“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–“
-Lewis Carroll, The Walrus and The Carpenter
From lowly cabbage to mighty king, the dirty veg to the golden crown, no topic is out-of-bounds here. Seething mobs fawn over the emperor’s new clothes, and naive little oysters can be persuaded to follow a hungry walrus to his picnic place. The time has indeed come to talk of these many things. The time has come to speak the truth, whether it is inspiring, discomfiting, amusing or downright taboo.
For many of us wandering around the labyrinthine internet in this digital age, it is also high time to fully enjoy life and rediscover the unfathomable depth of beauty that’s only possible in the world beyond this screen.
This blog will include many things: curious facts, discoveries, a plethora of pert opinions on anything from pasta to poetry to politics, personal experiences, anecdotes, pretty pictures and maybe even one or two scathingly brilliant ideas. Let’s just pray that I experience a stroke of divine inspiration to achieve that last ambitious item.
I cannot promise exquisite prose or irreproachable expertise, but I shall be honest and endeavor to learn as I go.
